This Season Will Never Grow Old
Recorded by Anne Murray
Written by Rita MacNeil
G
Christmas is coming I can
C
tell by the
G
smiles

I remember the snowflakes that
D7
fell from the sky

And
G
covered the village that
C
lay sleeping below

Thank
G
goodness this season will
D7
never grow
G
old

I look through my window
C
well into the
G
night

Watching and waiting and
D7
hoping I might

See
G
one little reindeer
C
fly through the snow

Thank
G
goodness this season will
D7
never grow
G
old
C
Christmas is coming may
Bm
joy fill your
Am
home

And the
G
spirit be with you
D7
wherever you
G
go
C
Christmas is coming may
G
joy fill your
Am
home

And the
G
spirit be with you
D7
wherever you
G
go

Trees with full branches were the
C
first ones to
G
go

I remember the children who
D7
came to the door

And
G
sang out the carols we
C
all used to know

Thank
G
goodness this season will
D7
never grow
G
old

All round the fire the
C
warmth of the
G
flame

Tip-toeing softly trying
D7
not to awake

The
G
ones who lie waiting for
C
good things you know

Thank
G
goodness this season will
D7
never grow
G
old
Repeat #3
