Recorded by Doug Stone
Written by Wayne Perry and Joe Diffie
[G]I hope the clouds are gathering
Around her house [C]tonight
She’s putting on her [G]makeup
And Lord she’s looking [D7]right

I [G]know just where she’s headed
And I know my part ain’t [C]there
So I pray for rain cause [G]my old flame
Is out [D7]burning down the [G]town

The [D7]fire still burns but the table turned
[C]She don’t yearn for [G]me
Some[D7]where tonight she’s glowing bright
For [C]all the world to [D7]see

Oh [G]Lord don’t let her do it
Please turn her heart [C]around
I’m praying for rain cause [G]my old flame
Is out [D7]burning down the [G]town

Each [D7]night I spend without her
Leaves no room for [C]doubt
That all these tears from [G]crying
Never put her [D7]out

[G]Lord I know she’s burning
Cause the smoke is all [C]around
I’m praying for rain cause [G]my old flame
Is out [D7]burning down the [G]town

Repeat #3,4
I’m [C]on my knees [G]begging please
To [D7]send some rain down[G]town[/chordpress]
