C
Once I promised I'd do anything to
F
please

you
G7
And looking back you must admit I've
C
tried

Now you stand there and tell me I must
F
leave

you

But
D7
I can't go well I guess I must have
G7
lied

For these
C
lips don't know how to say
F
goodbye
G7
And my heart doesn't even wanna
C
try

Now these feet can do the walking

Oh
F
but you must do the
D7
talking

For
G7
these lips don't know how to say
C
goodbye

If you'd ask me for the stars that shine
F
above

you
G7
Then I could come much closer to the
C
mark

So don't stand there and tell me not to
F
love

you

Un
D7
less you stop the beating of my
G7
heart

For these
C
lips don't know how to say
F
goodbye
G7
And my heart doesn't even wanna
C
try

Now these feet can do the walking

Ho
F
ney you must do the
D7
talking

For
G7
these lips don't know how to say
C
goodbye

No
G7
these lips don't know how to say
C
goodbye
