[C]Stuck in an [G7]airport in [C]Austin
All [F]of the [A#7]flights are [F]delayed
And as the rains keep fallin’
And the [C]memories keep callin’ me [D7]back
To another time and [G7]place
[C]Back to a rainy [G7]day in Okla[C]homa
She was [F]workin’ at this [A#7]roadside [F]cafe
And it was just her and me
And it looked [C]like it would be
At [G7]least till the storms rolled [C]away[A#7] [F]
I played [C]Please Come To [G7]Boston on the [C]jukebox
She said [F]hey that’s my [A#7]favorite [F]song
The next thing I knew the [C]song was long through
And [D7]we were still dancin’ [G7]along
And with that [C]look in her [G7]eyes she pulled [C]from me
Then she [F]pulled off that [A#7]apron she [F]wore
And with her hand in mine we [C]turned off the sign
And [G7]locked the rain outside the [C]door
Every time that it [F]rain[C]s [G7]I can hear her [C]heart calling
It [F]rain[C]s I can [G7]see that dress [C]falling
The [F]storm clouds roll [G7]on still the [C]memory [F]remai[C]ns[Dm]
Every [G7]time that it [C]rains
One late rainy [G7]night I got a [C]phone call
So I [F]went back to [A#7]see her [F]again
And through the dance we both stumbled
And with the [C]buttons we fumbled
So we [D7]decided just to call it [G7]friends
If we [C]ever had a [G7]thing now it’s [C]over
And [F]only the [A#7]memory [F]remains
Of a roadside cafe on a [C]September day
I re[G7]live every time that it [C]rains
repeat #5
[F]Every [G7]time that it [C]rains
[F]It’s raining o[C]n me
[F]Every [G7]time that it [C]rains[A#7] [F] [C]
[F]It’s rainin’ on [C]me[/chordpress]
