C
In a ramshackle
G7
shack in Caro
C
line

Is the sweetheart that I've been waiting
G7
for
C
But I know that she never will be
F
mine

Those
C
blue eyes don't
G7
sparkle

any
C
more

Something happened and
G7
now we are a
C
part

And I never have been so blue
G7
before
C
All she gave me was just a broken
F
heart

And those
C
blue eyes don't
G7
sparkle

any
C
more

She was sweeter than
G7
roses in the
C
spring

She was sweeter that all I've seen be
G7
fore
C
When I saw her my heart begin to
F
sing

But those
C
blue eyes don't
G7
sparkle

any
C
more

Now I'll never for
G7
get that gal of
C
mine

She's the one that I will always
G7
adore
C
But I'll never go back to Caro
F
line

Oh those
C
blue eyes don't
G7
sparkle

any
C
more
