We Met In The Hills Of Old Wyoming
Written and Recorded by Hank Snow
C
Down a little winding trail in old
D7
Wyoming

To a
G7
little shack with roses round the
C
door

There's a
F
little blue eyed curly headed
C
maid
A7
en

That
D7
I've been longing just to see once
G7
more

She's as
C
sweet as the lily of the
D7
valley
G7
And you can bet she's all the world to
E7
me

We
A7
met down in the hills of old Wy
D7
oming

It was
G7
there she gave her little ole heart to
C
me

Now
E7
every night we'll stroll beneath the
F
stars up above

And let the
D7
bright silvery moon-beams
G7
smile on our love

Hand in
C
hand down that little old trail we'll
D7
wander

Where the
G7
songbirds in the treetops sweetly
E7
sing

Then we'll
A7
plan and name the day that you'll be
D7
mine

dear

When your
G7
hand will wear a little golden
C
ring

As the twilight softly falls each night she's
D7
waiting

Mid the
G7
roses by the old garden
C
gate

And from
F
underneath her bonnet hangs her
C
head of golden
A7
curls

And a
D7
smile so bright and cheery on her
G7
face

Down
C
beside a little babbling brook we'll
D7
wander

Neath
G7
summer skies where all the world is
E7
still

Then with
A7
time comes once again to say
D7
goodnight

dear

I'll be
G7
with you when the sun sets on the
C
hill
Repeat #3
