Your Last Kiss Has Broken My Heart
Written and Recorded by Hank Snow
G
I returned to the old home last
C
night

dear

Just to
G
find you had left me and
D7
gone

On my
G
bureau your letter was
C
lying

And I
G
cried though I
D7
knew I was
G
wrong

That last kiss you left me I
C
found

dear

Amid
G
tear stains so painful you
D7
drew

You
G
left it to tell me my
C
darling

Your
G
bright skies had
D7
lost all their
G
blue

I
C
left you alone many a
G
night

dear

Never
A7
dreaming some day we would
D7
part

But
G
tonight I am troubled and
C
lonely

For your
G
last kiss has
D7
broken my
G
heart

You mentioned how once we were
C
happy

You
G
talked of our past wedding
D7
day

But through
G
years you say I have for
C
gotten

And
G
alone you must
D7
travel

life'
G

way

That last kiss old pal is a
C
treasure

Though through
G
tearstains you so painful
D7
drew

In my
G
heart I shall keep it for
C
ever

As a
G
rose that's bee
D7
n kissed by th
G

dew

So I
C
left you long nights all
G
alone

dear

And you
A7
say that forever we'r
D7

through

But I'v
G
e learned what a heartache ca
C
n mean dear

Since
G
receiving that
D7
last kiss from
G
you
