Widow

F
Johnson took a
C
night

job

At a
F
cafe that we've
G7
tried to close for
C
years

We can't
F
condemn her for the
C
sandwiches and coffee

But they've got a sinful jukebox and a
G7
license to sell
C
beer

Sunday
F
morning we'll be
C
singing

Singing
F
glory

halle
G7
luiah praise the
C
Lord

Inside the
F
church we'll have a
C
turn to testify

And tell a lie just like we did the week
G7
before
F
Outside the hand of
C
hell is
G7
knocking on our
C
door

Junior
F
Crabtree is a
C
wild

child

We all
F
know that he's in
G7
danger of the
C
fire

We don't say
F
nothing when the
C
plate is passed among us

Though we're helping Pastor Crabtree pay for
G7
Junior's hopped up
C
car
Repeat #2

Brother
F
Smith and his
C
opinions

Led him into
F
darkness he no
G7
longer sees the
C
light

He had the
F
nerve to say that
C
our

denomination

Might not be the will of heaven or the
G7
only one that's
C
right
Repeat #2 x2
