C
It was
A7
three in the mornin' when he took me apart

He
D7
wrecked my house and he wrecked my heart

He
A7
danced on my head like Arthur Murray

The
D7
scars ain't never goin' to mend in a hurry

Just
G7
when I thought that things would get better
C
Right through the door came a tear stained letter
E7
Whoa oh
F
oh Lord Lord
G7
cry and cry if it makes you feel better
C
Set it all down in a tear stained letter
E7
Whoa oh
F
oh Lord Lord
G7
cry and cry if it makes you feel better
C
Set it all down in a tear stained letter

Well my
A7
head was spinnin' just a little to fast

It was
D7
writin' checks that my body couldn't cash

I
A7
jumped to my feet I was reelin' and a dizzy

I
D7
went for the phone but the line was busy
Repeat #2

Now I
A7
like coffee and I like tea

But I
D7
just don't like this feelin' in me

It
A7
makes me nervous it gives me the hives
D7
Looking for the truth in a pack of lies
repeat #2
E7
Whoa oh
F
oh Lord Lord
G7
cry and cry if it makes you feel better
C
Set it all down in a
G7
tear stained
C
letter
E7
Whoa oh
F
oh Lord Lord
G7
cry and cry if it makes you feel better

Set it all down in a tear stained letter
