C
Oh I'm feelin' so fine and you're
F
looking so
C
good

And I'd like to get together oh
G7
Lord I wish we could

But there's
F
someone at home who's
C
dependin' on me

And
G7
boy they'd never know it If I set my passions free

But I
C
don't think
Am
love ought to
F
be that way

No I
C
don't think love ought to
G7
be that way

I could
Am
tell him a lie and I
D7
know that I'd get by

But I
C
don't think
Am
love

G7
ought to be that
C
way

You say a precious moment is
F
all that it would
C
be

That I'd forget about you and
G7
you'd forget me

Oh I
F
love what you're sayin' it's
C
temptin' me so

And
G7
though I love to hear it there's no way that I'll let go

But I
C
don't think
Am
love ought to
F
be that way

No I
C
don't think love ought to
G7
be that way

I could
Am
tell him a lie and I
D7
know that I'd get by

But I
C
don't think
Am
love

G7
ought to be that
C
way
