C
The saddest

song I've ever heard

Was on the

radio last

night

I turned it

up you turned it

off

Then
C
we lay

down and turned out the

light

I thought I'd
F
never go to sleep

In that
A#
cold and quiet
F
bed

Thinkin'
C
back on all we've
Dm
lost

Or
C
is it
A#
all we never
C
had

We've flown too
F
high

A#
on borrowed
F
wings

Touched the sky
A#
or so it
C
seemed

Guess fools can

fall

where we went

real

eyes are all I
