D7
to have
Am
someone who
E7
loves

Then be glad that you've got
C
someone who
D7
loves

you
G
Cause the lips that were
F
warm can
Em
grow

cool

Listen to the
Am
wisdom of a
D7
fool

When you
G
take his
D7
poor heart and you
Am
do something
E7
to

it

An
Am
d you think to you
C
rself why
D7
did I do it
G
You may find that the
F
world can be
E7
cruel
Am
Listen to the
D7
wisdom of a
G
fool

Now
C
I had a
Am
love

E7
just the
G
same as you

And
C
I was a
Am
fool

E7
not to
G
see

But
Em
you you still have time to say you love him

I'm
E7
afraid it's too
Em
late for
D7
me
G
So go back to the
D7
arms that you know will be
E7
waiting
Am
Hold him close in your arms
C
and be glad that
D7
he's

waiting
G
You'll be happy
F
believe

Em
me if
E7
you'll

Only
Am
listen to the
D7
wisdom of a
Em
fool

Only
Am
listen to the
D7
wisdom of a
G
fool
