It's Not The Miles You Traveled
Recorded by Faron Young
Written by David Hall and Louis Redding
G
I see that you're well traveled probably
C
been around the
D7
world
G
I don't think that's the answer cause you're
C
still a lonely
D7
girl
G
Don't tell me the things you've done the
C
places you have
G
stayed
C
If it's not the miles you
D7
traveled

Then
C
surely it must
D7
be the stops you
G
made

Each stop has left a mark that even
C
time cannot
D7
erase
G
They cannot be forgotten cause they're
C
written on your
D7
face
G
I wonder if you felt true love in
C
all the games you
G
played
C
If it's not the miles you
D7
traveled

Then
C
surely it must
D7
be the stops you
G
made

So traveling girl move on to places
C
far away from
D7
here
G
And don't let me be reminded that I
C
almost held you
D7
near
G
I could learn to love ya but I'd
C
still be so
G
afraid
C
If I can't go the miles you
D7
traveled

I don't
C
wanna be
D7
another stop you
G
made
C
If it's not the miles you
D7
traveled

Then
C
surely it must
D7
be the stops you
G
made
