C
Me and my gal went to the woods to shoot a big fat
G7
rabbit
F
She wouldn't let me
C
love her at all
G7
afraid I'd get the
C
habit

Some folks say that if someday their chance comes they will
G7
grab

it
F
But you better listen to a
C
wise old fool and
G7
don't get in the
C
habit

You will be just like a dog when she stops to
G7
pet

it
F
You'll whine and cry
C
around her door
G7
because you got the
C
habit

Watch an artists as he paints if he begins to
G7
dab

it
F
Some pretty gal with
C
makeup on has
G7
gave that boy the
C
habit

See that scientist at his work everything he
G7
labs

it
F
The doggone lab don't
C
mean a thing when
G7
he gets in the
C
habit
A millionaire's money ain't worth a dime

Cause some pretty gal will
G7
nab

it
F
If you see her with a
C
mink coat on that
G7
poor boy's caught the
C
habit

I told my gal about my luck she had to go and
G7
blab

it
F
Now she wears my
C
diamond ring
G7
poor boy's got the
C
habit

Every time she barks at me I hop just like a
G7
rabbit
F
She won't let me
C
love her at all
G7
she lost the doggone
C
habit

Don't tell these women folks a thing cause they'll be sure to
G7
blab

it
F
When they wear your
C
diamond ring too
G7
late you've got the
C
habit
