For chasin' a
G7
memory gone
C
wild

It ain't no cure and it
F
won't

C
erase

her

Only board up the pain for
G7
awhile

So
F
why did I reach for that
C
barroom

door

I ain't been drunk in a week and a
G7
day

Lord
C
guide these headlights cause the
F
bottle

C
tonight

Says I'm comin' home
G7
D.O.
C
A.

Drunk on arrival three
F
sheets to the
C
wind

Ain't no mistakin' the
G7
state that I'm
C
in

Deliver me Lord from this
F
hell where I
C
been

Mixing whiskey and memories till
G7
when

I'm drunk on arrival
C
again

I musta drunk every drop that the
F
bar had to
C
offer

Musta closed it
G7
down drunk it
C
dry

I ain't been in worse shape since the
F
day that I
C
lost

her

And this bottle's the damn reason
G7
why

Now the
F
road keeps a swayin' the
C
stop signs are a
G7
blur

Lord I
C
hope that you're lookin' my
G7
way

Hope the
C
drive ends ahead cause I
F
feel all but
C
dead

Comin' home
G7
