C
I was put here by a
F
jury

Of
C
twelve good men and
G7
true

For
C
myself I wouldn't
F
worry

But
C
what about
G7
Jenny

C
Lou

What'll they do to her
F
what'll they do to her
G7
What'll they do to my
C
darling

Will they go blaming her
F
taunting and shaming her
G7
After I'm gone
C
away

Since the main street was
F
deserted

They
C
all believe the
G7
worst

There
C
was only me and
F
Jenny

Could
C
swear it was
G7
him drew
C
first

They believe I meant to
F
kill

him

Al
C
though he'd been my
G7
pal

There
C
was real bad blood
F
between

us

For
C
Jenny was
G7
once his
C
gal
repeat #2

Now they'll make my Jenny
F
suffer

For
C
her good name is
G7
gone

How
C
his brother's lie by
F
saying

That
C
Jenny had
G7
led him
C
on

They'll be coming in the
F
morning

To
C
take me to a
G7
tree

Oh
C
when I think how they'll treat
F
Jenny

I
C
wish it was
G7
him killed
C
me
repeat #2

What'll they do to her
F
what'll they do to her
G7
After I'm gone
C
away
