C
I should've said no
G7
no
C
no
F
I should've taken it slow
G7
You had me falling too fast for his pretty boy
C
charms

But girls can close their eyes
F
pretend to fantasize
G7
That it's alright to lay there in his
C
arms

I didn't know at the time he
F
would take me on down the line
G7
And leave my heart on the roadside broken
C
down

No where to run or hide I
F
just gathered up my pride

When there's no where to turn you gotta turn it
G7
around

Now I'm back on my
C
feet back on the
G7
road

F
to

C
love

Yeah I'm back on my feet
G7
taking advantage of
F
Learning a lesson or
C
two
F
hurting all over and
C
totally

blue
F
I'm putting the word on the
G7
street that I'm back on my
C
feet

I'm gonna be fine
G7
fine

C
fine
F
now that I'm back in my mind
G7
Gonna chalk this one up as an honest
C
mistake

Only the night to blame
F
it's all in the game

Even if it happens too soon it's never to
G7
late
Repeat #3 x2
