Easy
Recorded by The Oak Ridge Boys
Written by Chick Rains
G
All the boys called her Easy
D7
took her to drive-in
Em
movies
C
Bragged about the
D7
good times they
G
had

The girls talked about her and had
D7
parties without
Em
her

And
C
wondered why a girl would
D7
let herself go so
G
bad

They called her
C
E--
D7
asy

G
Eas
Em
y

And
C
laughed about how
D7
easy she
G
was

They called her
C
E--
D7
asy

G
Eas
Em
y
C

They said
D7
she was easy to
G
love
They didn't care if she was lonely

They didn't
D7
care if she was
Em
only reaching
C
out

The
D7
only way she
G
could
They didn't try to understand her

And this small town
D7
talk branded
Em
her

With
C
names that said she
D7
wasn't any
G
good
Repeat #2

Easy's child came early i
D7
t seemed in such
Em

hurry

For
C
one who'd go through
D7
life without a
G
name

Easy's eyes were brighter than the
D7
moonlight on the
Em
water

When they
C
handed her the
D7
child no one would
G
claim

My friends thought I was crazy to
D7
love Easy and her
Em
baby

They
C
said I was a
D7
fool but I just
G
smiled

Love is what you make it any
D7
way you finally
Em
take

it

It's the
C
only thing that
D7
makes life worth
G
while

Now she's
C
E--
D7
asy she's
G
Eas
Em
y

And
C
life is not as
D7
lonely as it
G
was

Cause she's
C
E--
D7
asy she's
G
Eas
Em
y
D7
She's so easy to
G
love

Their name was changed to the Oak Ridge Boys in the early 1960s, and they remained a gospel group until the mid-1970s, when they changed their image and concentrated on country music. The lineup which produced their most well-known country and crossover hits (such as "Elvira" (1981), "Bobbie Sue" (1982), and "American Made" (1983) consists of Duane Allen (lead), Joe Bonsall (tenor), William Lee Golden (baritone), and Richard Sterban (bass). Golden and Allen joined the group in the mid-1960s, and Sterban and Bonsall joined in the early 1970s. Aside from an eight-year gap (1987-95) when Golden left the group and was replaced, this lineup has been together since 1973 and continues to tour and record.
