The Golden Hills Ahead Song Lyrics and Chords by The Oak Ridge Boys

The Golden Hills Ahead
Recorded by The Oak Ridge Boys
G
This dark and
C
troubled land
G
below

Seems the light is not shining in my
D7
soul

Through this
G
valley I'm
C
walking cold and
G
stiff

But I know the sun is shinning shinning

D7
On the golden
G
hill

C
Going down the valley
G
shadows in the valley

As long as I can sort it out in my
D7
head
C
Going down the valley
G
walking through the valley

But I know the sun is shining

On the
D7
golden hills
G
ahead

This dark hill that
C
I am climbing
G
on

My God when I need You all
D7
alone

In the
G
morning His
C
comfort will be
G
mine

And to get aboard these hilltops

The
D7
morning sun will
G
shine

Repeat #2 x2

But I know the sun is shining

On the
D7
golden hills
G
ahead
